Lockdown Photo Roundup

So Margaret has been wanting me to unload pictures from my phone since Xmas so here we go:

This is what it looks like when you get the server working at max capacity (80 threads)....Thats a lot of computation power but its never enough!

Pocky cant wait for those hot summer days.

These two don't mind the cold winter nights.

Back in the land of Polacks! We are east cost after all according to our timezone.  Paczki and Cherry bread are a staple of the MI diet

Golden Beans Skates is getting big...and by big I mean almost the size of my palm!  Here he is doing his best torterra impersonation.

Even though Corona wasn't in the states yet, Jinyi and I were not taking any chances at our March conference.  Hawaii here we come...safely.

Hi, Biscus.

Maui.  Lots of Poa annua problems in case you were not focusing on the turf grass of this golf coarse.

A picture to make Margaret mad.

Lots-o-rainbows from the mountains constant fog/steam/rain drizzle.

Lots of these friendly dudes.  The cats were hanging loose.

Beautiful Mount Lanai across the water.... 98% owned by Larry Ellison (Founder and Chairman of Oracle).  Eat the rich.

Whale tour. The whales (humpback I think?) were breaching like crazy morning and night. Its sounded like thunder storms.

The conference hotel had permanent penguin residents.

I thought this cat was dead...he did not move the entire time I was on Maui, even when pet.  Eventually I took his vitals and his heart was working...I think he hung too loose.

This was my hotel room.

Happy St. Patties!

Cheeeeese!

Cant get enough of these cats.

I have asked my post-doc to make a cross of two Poa annua lines. I am a cruel PI.  The flowers are nearly microscopic and she has to remove the enclosed anthers or they will self.

Each one of those spikelets has 3 flowers....

STOP MOVING AND LOOK AT ME, ALL AT ONCE!

I gave up.

Playing games together during lockdown.

Spring arts-and-crafts Margaret designed to entertain the kids.

Rub-a-dub-dub, 2 Oni in a tub

Selfie.

Pocky takes all comers, as long as they lie still. For such a cranky old cat she sure does love pets from the kids.

Puzzles are the best.  We had this one for years (from Great Grandma) and we finally had a chance to crack it open.

A family effort.

First attempt at a fort....I am already imagining much more intricate forts, we will see where we are at by the end of all this.

BIRTHDAY CARD MONTAGE TIME

TV DINNER

DOME CONSTRUCTION TIMELAPSE

A brief dome-unrelated intermission.
In case you were wondering, Darwin kept his thermometer in the poop cabin.

DOME PLAYING MONTAGE

Once your done freezing on your dome, its time to cuddle up!

Great Grandmas Clivia really needed to be repotted after all this time.

What an absolute unit.

Even Mommo is using the dome?!?!?!

POCKET DRESSES. Enough said.

Rain filled up our birdbath and it turned out to be irresistible to the robins. What is it with robins and the bath?

Keep scrolling....Its been a long time since I left the house.

Fresh spring air!

We could all use a little more meditation.

Maybe we could use G.B.S. as a monster in godzilla?

Maybe we could use Edie in godzilla?
