All things break.

I know it can be over whelming to get all the photos al at once but its been hard to carve out time to make a post!  Here are a bunch of photos of Christmas Day and the prep leading up to it.

Johns new name should be bones!

Oscar is very helpful and very strong. Here he is helping his sister watch the tortoise, Golden Beans!

Oscar is very, very helpful and very, very strong. Here he is helping his brother watch the tortoise, Golden Beans!!

Typical Oscar/Edie interaction.

Speaking of Golden Beans Skates, here he is mountain climbing.

And here he is swimming in the ocean.

Chillen' at a friends birthday party.

HERE IS THE PHOTOS OF GREAT CHRISTMAS TREE ADVENTURE

Oscar, John, and I got the Christmas tree when Edie was napping.  We went to Peacock farms about 20 minutes away along some nice dusty roads.  We got loaded up on a big old tractor and driven through the acres of beautiful trees! There were so many species to choose from...everyone else on our tractor wants giant fir trees but Oscar and John both insisted we get a "Colorado Blue Spruce" which were extra far away.  Everyone else on the tractor had to go for a loooooong ride while we got our tree.

John manning the bow.

Oscar was having a terrible time....

Just kidding he has a blast!

Oscar made friends with the farm cat.  Just a little Raji-cat.

A COUPLE OF BIRTHDAY PHOTOS

Oscar does not mind sharing his wealth.

Also Oscar has become quite the reader.  He keeps disappearing quietly only to be discovered hidden away, cozy and with a comic book. He has been especially fond of Little Lulu and Dogman recently.

Of coarse everyone gets in on reading time, even Pocky cat!

Margaret and I got ourselves a big ole present... A fire place insert!  Here it is being installed by a large man named John.  They did a great job and there were no hitches.  It was installed on a day when we were stuck home, sick but it was so great to have it in before Christmas!

Here it is in operation.

Here is Dr. Dave Douches, world class molecular potato breeder, serenading us at work with Jingle Bell Rock...it was a truely unique experience.

This is John doing some work.

This is Edie doing the opposite of work.

Oscar loves basket ball, but we don't have a hoop and al the ones around us are adult height.  I set up this rig in the garage so he could work on his fundamentals, even if it is snowing/raining out.

Edie pretended she didn't need a nap one day. Around 4 pm it caught up with her. We looked over and she was out like a light and partially suspending herself.   I moved her to the couch soon after this photo was taken.

THE STYART IOF THE CHRISTMAS PHOTOS
Obligatory Christmas eve tree picture after Santa visited.

Opening stockings in bed....even though it was my bed.

Edie ate all of her chocolate immediately... she then insisted of equal shares of Johns candy as well.

But he don't care!  He got a sweet digger truck!

Opening presents is a team operation.

Oscar got caught up reading his first present... He wisely slowed down proceedings and let his gifts pile up around him. Classic present hoarding behavior, every family has one.

Dresses with Pocketsses

A beautiful fish and turtle shirt Oscar made for John (Thanks to Mawgs expert help) .  John loves it!
He made one for Edie as well but I didn't get it on camera yet.

Wait Moms get presents too?!?! Of coarse! The kids were so happy and proud to get her gifties!

Edie opening the largest present.

I mean really opening it!

Oscar must be getting something extra special in this one!

Letter transformers were the big hit of the day for the boys.

And Edie got a lot of enjoyment out of her sleeping bag from Baba Yaga as well!

Thanks great grandma!

I looked away for one second and everyone had Margarets presents on their heads. It was her idea, I'm sure of it

The unpacking of the sleds was kept to the end and the generated an immediate response.  All toys were promptly load on them and pulled around.  Edie was also pulled around.

Unfortunately we have been having 50 degree days and intense rain since Christmas but as I am writing this it has changed and we have snow!  Maybe we will break them out later today...

A punching bag that was immediately beloved. Too much so. It was also immediately popped.  We will have to come up with a more permanent punch training solution for our would be ninjas.

Later that day, the boys climbed a tree at the park.
