Keeping out of trouble

First of all, a belated welcome to the world young Master Ezra Brigham Fleming! Can't wait to meet you! While you've been busy getting poked in the eye by your siblings (lovingly) here's what we've been up to:
Safety first

Eric found this at a neighborhood yard sale, look familiar? Guess what we're planning to use it for!

We got John a T-ball set when Aunt Elizabeth was here! No proof of her visit, but everyone loved playing T-ball. Even the neighbors took a turn.

Elizabeth also helped with the final house rearrangements, that is, she helped us move the piano. What a stellar houseguest! Now we have family band time on the regs.

The kids are taking full advantage of the clubhouse. I get to watch them from the windows over the kitchen sink! What a secret spy-hole! Here they are enjoying a fancy tea party, and Oscar is making sure everyone uses good table manners.

Pretty soon this crew will outgrow the tiny tub!

This might look like two chairs covered in blankets, but in fact under each blanket is a portal and in each portal is a boy! I know one portal led to a dragon world, but the other one I'm not sure about.

What about the cats, you ask? Same as ever - snoozing and treats. They've settled right in to their cozy cat palace.
Hello, Garage!

Eric is a for-real professor now, with a post-doc and undergraduates to manage, and students who decline to come to office hours. He has cleverly arranged his class so that he only has to teach about half of the lectures. And I am now a molecular biologist working in an ecology lab. And hoo boy, are those different fields.
