May Day!

Still keeping busy! Eric and the children have a nice task to move all the small rocks from the front yard to the back yard, so I now command an army of ants. Eric will have to share the pictures of what they've been up to there.

Edie loves reading to herself and being read to. She's especially fond of books where you have to find things, like I Spy and Where's Waldo.

We got some stuff in boxes and the boxes briefly became a fort of Oscar's design. Then they turned into robot bodies.

Where did they go?

Eric made pancakes on a weekday morning with helpers oo la la!

A cardboard tube arrived, it now lives on as two wands/canes/swords

Eric and I made funnel cake! Just like at the fair! We even used a funnel!

This forsythia in the front yard is blazingly bright. It's not good for much the rest of the year but for right now it's perfec.t

Edie, natural historian, loves observing ants.
But when she accidentally smooshes them, boy howdy!

 Men at work.

Oscar made some natural art with dandelion petals, pinecones, and rocks. We'll definitely try it again, this falls well within magic potion territory.

Your cocoa'll be ready in a minute...

I've been making bread and rolls made of bread. I found a recipe for turning active yeast into dry yeast, and if it works then I get to keep making bread!

Summer curtains have been installed.

John is the best dandelion collector.

And, John has been practicing riding his new bike, "Major Damage". And Oscar has been practicing riding his old bike, without training wheels and without a Daddo holding on to him! Edie, in the meantime, refuses to use the pedals on the tricycle or move it in the forward direction. She only scoots backwards. What do they say, two steps forward one step back?

We'll have at least two more weeks of this, and I kind of wish it would go on forever. Minus the pandemic.
