Ok. There are 42 species known from Colorado, and there were 4 of those that I don't have a picture of. Out of the rest, the most likely suspect is Culiseta incidens.
So the diagram of it gives it feathered antennae, which is definitely does not have. However, the rest of the description makes sense, because I have only seen this mosquito in Eric's yard. We will have to suss out the secret water source.

ReplyDeleteFemales will have sparse bristles on the antennae.
