Sike, there are none! We've been staying home like good citizens.
We got an extra cat bed and now we find these two curled up in one or the other. Rare to find single-occupancy!
A study in black and red.
A study in Pocky's patience: she is very patient!
John had to bring 100 things to school for the hundredth day. He made a necklace in a pattern of his own choosing, with black beads for fives and white beads for tens. He did it ALL BY HIMSELF! And then Edie came along before the ends were tied off and helped him out by sliding most of the beads off. Oh boy.
But, that was a fixable problem and once it was fixed John was so proud!

Edie made a necklace too, and by made I mean she bossed me around while I strung the beads. She was pleased with the result! Who doesn't love a good rainbow necklace? (I mean, "neck-uh-luss")
Edie went to the dentist and got to pick her own prize! She wanted sunglasses, but then she picked out a lion keychain. When we got to the car, she asked for her sunglasses....so we went back in to the dentist and put the keychain back and took the sunglasses like she had wanted all along. And then she was a happy clean-toothed girl!
The pinnacle of excitement - a treasure from the grocery store clearance aisle! I never go grocery shopping any more, so I really made the most of it when I snuck out for essentials while Eric was napping. And these were obviously essential! The cactus-shaped marshmallows were lime flavored. Duh!
A stray dog briefly entered our life while the weather was the coldest of cold. He came inside and drank some water, and made Eric break out in welts, and greatly alarmed the cats. And then I drove him to the animal shelter, where he would be warm and fed and watered and hopefully adopted quickly! He was a tiny young thing with no microchip.

So snowy! Look how tall the birdbath cake has gotten!
It was so snowy that Edie and Ben stayed home (after Oscar walked in to camp while Eric carried John over the snowdrifts). Edie helped me make sugar cookies for our neighbor Elinor, who used her snowblower on our driveway and sidewalk so John could get out of the house under his own power! I really liked how the dough turned out with Edie's stamping help. It looks like a quilt!
Ben is highly motivated to crawl. He squirms his way towards any toy that is juuuuust out of reach.
And he got a stellar report from the doctor at his six-month checkup!
John and Oscar have been coloring fiends lately. John is making fantastical scenes, and Oscar is developing his card game, "Card Wars". It's in alpha testing at the moment and will likely get distributed to the cousins for beta testing in a few months - unless he forgets all about it, which is the other likely scenario!
