On our own again

Eric flew off to Portland today. He reports that he made it safe and sound and that Portland beer is delicious. Before he left he cooked me some food to help me through the week, and we got to try it together for dinner last night. Behold, home-made ramen with soy sauce egg!

Oscar even liked it!

The weather has changed around again and now the snow has melted the crocuses are all getting down with their bad selves. There are several clumps of big yellow ones just outside the front door, which happens to also be where the dryer vents to. They are doing very well and as always I think I need some more right next to where these ones are.

My friend Eva came over today and kept us company and made us dinner! I have no pictures of the delicious crepes but they were marvelous. And in return I made Eva some peach butter. In fact I made all of the peaches I had stored in the freezer into butter. I don't know that anyone else is likely to receive some, as my appetite for the stuff seems to be limitless, but at least the freezer is empty and ready to receive meals.

The only other thing I have pictures of is Oscar experimenting with our instrument collection. Wish us luck while Eric is gone - he returns very late on Thursday, full of weed science.

No cats in here - for now!
