First I have some sad news. Eric didn't want it even on the blog but that feels like keeping it a secret to me. Thistle, one of our angora rabbits, died last Sunday, and we buried her on Friday. She had been getting thin for some time and suddenly was skin and bones and unable to stand. She died the night we found her unable to stand. Now that she is gone, we think she had some sort of internal disorder like diabetes or kidney failure, because Juniper is not drinking even half the water that both of them did, and there is no more pee outside the litter box.
It is strange that she is gone, but not depressingly sad. It is hard to think that that is an ok way to feel about a rabbit pet dying.
But moving on...
Oscar laughed his first laugh yesterday. He hasn't done it since. I'm sure he's saving them up for something special! He has also discovered his stentor voice, and has been shouting at us regularly. It isn't always clear whether he's upset or thinking about crying, or just enjoying being loud.
Here he is being his best self, the happy smiling chatty baby that we love.
