We visited the rock museum (or "museum rocks" as John calls it) on Sunday and then swung by the botanical garden to check out the duck pond. We also found the caboose garden! This place is so humongous and full of little paths, paved and unpaved, wandering throughout the trees... I could easily spend all day there. I look forward to showing it to all our future guests!

I got to go back to CO at the end of July for the 2nd international workshop on seed longevity. I learned I am Dr. Yong Bi Fu's hero! And I presented my exciting work on "Signatures of death and vitality in imbibing seed transcriptomes." But best of all, I went a few days early and got to relax with my old band mates. We went off-roading, and then we shot some guns at imaginary zombies in the Pawnee grasslands, and felt very proud to participate in America. Eric and the kids nobly rose to the occasion in my absence. I have proof of all these things!
