A surreal experience at John and Edie's daycare this morning:

 Why are we standing still in the hot hot sun? I just want to jingle my noisemaker and march around!

We had a truly lovely weekend. I went kayaking with my new friend, and only burned the tops of my knees. There were motorboats and jetskis, but only a few, and we saw many fish jump. Then on Sunday we took the family to the YMCA beach, just outside Clemson. Sandy shore, with a rocky patch to find skippers, lots of minnows and sunfish, picnic benches and grills in the shade - and no one else! The water is clear and cool but never cold - Eric and John didn't shiver once! Oscar showed off his swimming, and the boys made sand castles, and Edie got wet and cried a lot. It was a wonderful day.
